Jolene Ratliff first became enamored with stained glass when she lived in Fort Sumner and she took a class while living there.
“Interpretation of the colors and types of glass that can be utilized in a stained glass piece is fascinating; I love to watch a stained glass piece evolve before my eyes as I piece it together.”
Ratliff was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended the University of New Mexico, Eastern New Mexico University, and San Juan college. She majored in Medical Records but was always interested in and influenced by the art of New Mexico. After marriage, she moved to a farm in Fort Sumner, New Mexico, where she lived for 18 years before moving to Pagosa Springs, Colorado in 1989.
Two Old Crows gallery carries a selection of Ratliff’s glass art. Stop by the gallery to view her beautiful pieces.
