Claire Goldrick

Claire Goldrick

Claire Goldrick was born in Washington, D.C., but raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her art career began early in Albuquerque, and by age 15, she was turning out commissioned work year round for horse owners and landscape lovers. Before leaving Albuquerque, Goldrick received informal instruction from Wilson Hurley and Arthur Sussman, among others. Continuing to exhibit in New Mexico shows and galleries, she has won numerous awards and her works now hang in collections nationwide. She was featured in Art of the West magazine and Western Art Digest. Her recent Western Horseman cover attests to her in-depth study of American Indian history, particularly of her neighbors, the Southern and Mountain Utes and Jicarilla Apaches. Goldrick works primarily in oils and watercolors.
