Samuel Baker, Landscape Oil Paintings

Samuel Baker grew up in Texas, and at an early age became known as the class artist.  He studied art through high school and in  college, but  upon graduation, accepted a career in banking. Through the years however, the love of oil painting has never left him, and he has spent a great deal of time, study, and work becoming a serious artist over the last decade.

As his retirement from banking gets closer, Sam and his wife Wynn Dee have purchased a home in Pagosa Springs, CO where he is setting up a studio, and plans on painting the beautiful Colorado countryside.

Sam has been fortunate to study under some of the best landscape artists in the business, and has won several awards in juried competition.  His paintings hang in homes and businesses from Texas to Kentucky to Colorado.

In his own words, “ I paint landscapes that hopefully, by adding an extra touch of realism, viewers are transported into the scene.”
